Analytical features support considered one of key factors in BI solution evaluation. Above all, restrictions on the number of analytical dimensions are taken into account, along with capabilities of multidimensional analysis and drill-down.
Unlimited number of analytical dimensions
KPI MONITOR supports the arbitrary number of analytical dimensions (dictionaries), and capable for automatic synchronization of them with corporate information system. Employed by KPI MONITOR technology provides importing and storage of target and actual values in relation to the analytical dictionaries. These features provides company with unified analytics system and gives unlimited options for further analysis.
The system allows for multidimensional data analysis in all contexts. For example, analysis of profitability of the company in first quarter by the groups of products in the context of branches, dealers, projects, etc. KPI MONITOR supports multidimensional and multi-level analytics and makes it possible to set up calculation of indicators by filtering analytical dimensions of imported data. This is the fundamental difference of KPI MONITOR from other programs, which usually require calculation of each indicator in foreign application, and only after that – importing them to the KPI system.
KPI MONITOR provides an interactive refinement of indicator values by any analytical dimension. This is implemented by applying of different filters analytical dictionary values. In addition, one click on indicator lends the user to the report from which data was taken, providing her with detailed information about indicator values, child indicators and trends.
Variety of floating windows (tooltips) allows user to quickly determine who is responsible for the particular indicator, and methods of calculation, i.e. the user will not only see resulting value, but will also overview the calculation algorithm, and see which indicators were involved in the calculation and what filters was applied, etc.
The system supports custom filters/constraints on analytical dimensions, which can be set up in user's profile. For example, applying a filter to the "organizational unit" dictionary in particular user's profiles restricts all user’s indicators to the selected unit. Thus, using a single indicator that reflects execution of budget items, each employee will see its value exclusively in the context of his/her unit or budget lines.
